Scope and Contents

Established in 1970 by Chancery Court Judge Tom Glaze of Little Rock, the Election Laws Institute (TEL) existed to educate public officials about election laws and to serve as a "watchdog" for election abuses. As a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, TEL also lobbied for election law reforms. TEL dissolved in 1978.

Series I: Office and research files containing correspondence, pamphlets, memos, news clippings, and research materials relating to TEL's general activities.

Series II: Case files containing materials relating to specific investigations of alleged election abuses.
